Clothing and equipment Your kid(s) won't need any special clothing or cricket gear. The SAC cricket section has very generously bought cricket gear and training aids adapted for small hands, so kids don't need to bring any gear unless they've got some already. As we use soft balls (tennis balls mostly) throughout, you won't need to bring any pads, gloves or any other protective equipment.

Non-member participation All the sessions are free, but non-members will need to pay an entrance fee at the door to be covered for insurance purposes. This has now been definitively fixed at €4 per child and €4 per adult: parents are offered a free coffee on the terrace at the club as an incentive!

Parent helpers and contact details and parent helpers Please stay and help us with the session (the more we have, the more the kids get out of it). You don't need to know much, or as we've found out, anything about cricket to be helpful. But with sometimes over thirty kids to look after last week, we are very glad of the kind help we often receive. And please make sure we have a contact phone number (preferably a mobile number) to contact you if you have to pop out during the session.

This activity is run by players from the Senior Cricket Section of the Club.

Under-13s use a soft ball and play Kwik Cricket, a reduced form of the game that encourages participation and teamwork.

The 2009 junior cricket season ended with a final match against the British School in a beautiful setting at the cricket club in the grounds of the Chateau de Thiory. In a close match, the British School came out winners. The morning ending with the traditional, extraordinary cricket tea laid on by the British School. Many thanks to the British School from the SAC Junior Cricket team.

Looking forward to next season!
