In the end there were 28 bridgers, who had great fun on the bridge tables, plus 10 who came for dinner. Thanks to their generous donations  € 3.530 were raised, which is very nice addition to BCF funds.

Congratulations to the winners Mary and Remy Cauchard in North-South and Guerin and Leon Goldstein in East-West.

BCF extends hearty thanks to Jenny Pratt, chair of the Bridge Section, for keeping us under control and getting the results out so quickly at the end of the evening. And to Mario for his help with the organisation.

The BCF was founded in 1823, and for nearly 200 years has been supporting Brits living in France who have financial problems, by giving them cash grants. They currently distribute over €250.000 per year to almost 150 people in about 100 households. A monthly grant is in the range €100 and €500 depending on circumstances. Grants are financed from donations, interest, and our reserves. In the current post-Brexit and economic climate in France there is a constant need to increase donations if the BCF wishes to continue to support the British community for a further two hundred years.
