Next time you are standing on the bridge of Bir-Hakeim at the Champ de Mars, with the Eiffel Tower behind you and looking down the river with the Radio France building to your right, look up in the distance and you will see a long wall in a forest. This wall is the park where the Meudon Observatory is situated on the edge of Meudon forest. The Standard Athletic Club is next to this Observatory. The distance is 9km.  

By car 

On your Satellite Navigation, enter: 

Standard Athletic Club, Route Royale, Meudon 

It is a 20-minute drive from the Eiffel Tower. 

By metro 

Take line 9 to Pont de Sevres 

Order an Uber and the cost will be approximately €8. 

Or take bus 179 

Get out at Rond-Point des Bruyères and follow the signs to Stade Marcel Bec. This is a municipal sports ground which you will walk through. As you come out onto the other side you will be on Route Royale, and the Standard Athletic Club is just to your right. The Stade Marcel Bec is next door to the Club. 

By train Line N 

Take train Line N from Montparnasse to Meudon Bellevue. 

Order an Uber and the cost will be approximately €6.

Or put an electric bike on the train, and ride up to the Club, approximately 15mins. 

Or walk. It is a 30mins walk uphill. Take the Avenue du Château and follow signs to the Observatoire. On your way up into the forest, following Rue Marcelin Berthelot, you will pass by the entrance to the Observatoire. Keep walking, the Stade Marcel Bec is on your right and the entrance to the Standard Athletic Club is just afterwards. 

By RER C 

Take RER C to Meudon Val Fleury 

Order an Uber and the cost will be approximately €8 

Or walk. It is a 30mins walk uphill, through the small centre of Meudon, towards the forest. Follow signs to the Observatoire. On your way up into the forest, following Rue Marcelin Berthelot, you will pass by the entrance to the Observatoire. Keep walking, the Stade Marcel Bec is on your right and the entrance to the Standard Athletic Club is just afterwards.
