Tennis is at the heart of our Club. We are fortunate to have eight courts in some of the most beautiful surroundings in the Paris region.
Over the Club's long history, we have developed rules to maximise the use and enjoyment of the courts for as many members as possible at peak periods during the weekends and public holidays.
Here is a reminder of some of the most important ones (see this article):
- Doubles take priority: Two players have the right to ask to join a singles game to make a four if all other courts are reserved.
- Adults courts are for reservation by adults. The court designations (adult, mixed rights, children) are clearly marked on the club's notice boards and on the courts themselves.
- Consecutive bookings are not allowed.
Our ADSL electronic booking system has many advantages, notably in allowing members to reserve some tennis courts in advance, but there are limits in how we can configure the system. We ask members not to take advantage of these limitations to breach the club rules.
Wearing the correct sports attire is also central to the SAC tradition. Members should wear predominantly white tennis clothes and appropriate clay-court tennis shoes when playing on the clay courts.
All of us need to observe these and the club's other tennis rules -- available on the website and posted on the tennis section notice board -- in the spirit of fair play and the sharing of our precious facilities with fellow tennis players.
