While some progress has been made, the difficult weather is posing a challenge and some first-round matches are still due to be played.
- Andrew Taylor and David Colson turned up to play their match last Sunday but had to postpone politely to give time to another match to finish. Their match is finally due to be played on Sunday, February 3rd at 4.30 p.m.
- Arnaud Marois and Roland Tchertoff are set to play their match Saturday 2nd February at 2.30 p.m.
Simon and Hugo Marrison won their match against Tony Parker and Philippe Albrecht in a dramatic 2/1 marathon match. They are due to play Paul and Joris Willey in the next round.
Ian Cully and Dougie Anderson’s deciding frame turned into a Dennis Taylor/Steve Davis thriller with a black ball game on the deciding frame. Ian finally potted the black and qualified for the next round. He will meet James Moore in the semis.
Jean-Paul Ruze won his match against his friend and doubles partner Lucien Jourdan. He will meet Ian Jones in the semis.
