Squash: Team 2 had a good 5/0 win at home against Les Ulis.
What been happening
On the Junior Squash front, Alexander Lecomte represented the SAC in the Ken Chavet Tournament that took place in Créteil on Sunday, 31st March. This was his first tournament and he was accompanied by our coach Roland Bassibey. He won one of his three matches, which was a great performance after only 18 lessons. Congratulations, Alexander!
Last Saturday the Golf Section held a Stableford competition out at Villarceaux; David Colson (35 points) was first of the Men and Joan Cosgrove (32 points) was the winner among the Ladies.
Also on Saturday 6th, our Junior Footballers took on the British School away. Honours were shared in this return match: in the Unde-11s the British School got their revenge 7-0, but the Under-13s kept up the season’s winning streak with a 3-2 win.
Last Sunday, our Footballers played their best performance of the season with a stunning 5/0 defeat of La Salernitana, the same team that destroyed us 6/1 back in November!.

Don't forget that this Sunday morning the Route Royale will be closed from 9 am and will only reopen at 12.30 pm.
Today, Friday, the April Bridge Workshop is happening and the Ladies ALT's team are playing TC Rueil. last of their pool matches before going through to the 'tableau final' knockout competition in May. Unfortunately, the Raquettes team has had to withdraw from their competition this year because of Injury.
Food this weekend: Saturday: Croissants & Pains au chocolat. Lunch: Ham or cheese and salad sandwiches, ham&cheese and tomato&mozzarella paninis; mixed tuna salad; entrecote and fries; spaghetti carbonara. Sunday Brunch (1pm-3pm this Sunday): All the usual plus Chicken in cream & mushroom sauce, rice or fries.
This Sunday, the adult Footballers take on Les Italiens.
The Scottish Country Dancing season opens on Thursday 18th from 6.30 pm - 8 pm; do join in, you know you'll enjoy it!
Also on Thursday for those interested in seeing some Real Tennis (Jeu de Paume), the French National Real Tennis team will be playing 3 exhibition matches at the Jeu de Paume & Squash Club, 74 ter rue Lauriston, Paris 75016. If you'd like to watch the games and visit the Club, please let Gigi Cothier () know by Wednesday, 17th April.
Squash Team 2 play their next and last match at La Garenne next Thursday too.

For those thinking ahead to the Easter holidays, it's not too early to think about the Tennis and Squash camps on offer - please note the revised Squash dates - 22nd and 23rd mornings. See below for the links and registration forms.
The Clay courts are due to open on Wednesday 24th.
Saturday 27th is going to be proposed for the Snooker Finals and Dinner.
Mario needs to know how many attendees to expect for the meal, so can you please get back promptly, to confirm whether or not you will attend before the end of next week, Friday 19th; spouses, juniors and guests all welcome.

SAC 2019 Tennis Survey
The aim of this anonymous survey is to canvass members’ opinions about all things related to tennis at the club, from our preferred playing options to the booking system and the urgent investments we need to make in order to renovate and improve the tennis courts themselves.
We are sending the survey by email to all SAC members, so please check your inboxes and, at your leisure within the next 10 days, fill out the 5-10 minute survey. The deadline is April 16.

The Search is still on for a volunteer Newsletter Editor!
The Club Management is looking for a News Editor whose responsibility is to compile the weekly newsletter from the input provided by Management, Staff, the Section heads and members. The News Editor should be fluent in English, preferably a native speaker. The time commitment needed is a few hours a week. The management would hope for a long-term commitment to the post from the volunteer. Please contact Matthew Curtin () if you're interested.

On Sunday the 14th of April there is a race (Foulée Meudonnaise) running along the main road, Route Royale, which will be closed from 9 am - 12.30 pm allowing only pedestrian access the club. (Brunch will be served from 1 pm - 3 pm.)

The SAC Sunday footballers produced their best showing of the season on Sunday morning to beat La Salernitana 5/0 after a very convincing performance. The result is all the more satisfying that this same team destroyed us 6/1 back in November!
Results: Men's WInner - David Colson, 35 points; Ladies' Winner - Joan Cosgrove, 32 points.
Honours were shared in this return match: in the Unde-11s the British School got their revenge 7-0, but the Under-13s kept up the season’s winning streak, though it was again a close-run victory, 3-2, against the hosts.
The Ladies Tennis ALT's team chalked up another win 2-1 against AS Meudon on Friday 29th March. They next meet TC Rueil this Friday 12th April for the last of their pool matches before going through to the 'tableau final' knockout competition in May. Unfortunately, the Raquettes team has had to withdraw from their competition this year because of Injury.
It’s Tournament time again! Registration forms have been sent out via the ADSL and are available at reception. Please take note of the closing date, Thursday 18th April! This is very important as no late entries will be accepted.
