Bridge News - 17 September Tournament ResultsBig winners of the Section's Tournament were - Richard and Leon in EW - with 62.5% and Ghislaine and Raphael in NS -- with 60%. 2nd in NS: Nicole (Devaux) & Jean-Paul - with 55.83% and in EW: Jane & Hughette with 53.75%. (Click here for the full results.) See the main article for details of other prizes that were awarded for play during the year. Many thanks to Carole Gressier for her invaluable help with the cocktail; Maureen and Joan for their help in preparing the rooms; Anne Raynaud for duplicating the boards, and all of you who took part and lent a hand in clearing away at the end of the tournament. Golf News: Summer Eclectic - July/August 2024 - WinnersThe Section's Summer Open Eclectic Competition is open and running from 1 July to 30 August at the Villarceaux Golf Club. Participants submitted 6 scorecards during this period from which a best composite score was calculated. The winners were: 1st prize – Emile Freiha 2nd prize - Frederic Thiriet 3rd prize – David Colson

Golf News: Autumn Weekend Results Omaha Beach September 2024This September's weekend was held this year at Omaha Beach Golf Club, Port en Bessin in Normandy from 13th to 15th September and was blessed with fantastic weather for the full 3 days. The Kiwi Cup (best net score) and the Dean trophy (best gross) were both won by Frédéric Thiriet with a magnificent 39pts and 16pts respectively. Ian Jones and Muriel Jones won 2nd and 3rd place net respectively with 35 and 34pts.

SAC Junior Cricket TrainingJunior Cricket training restarted on Saturday, the 24th of August at 10 am! It will continue every Saturday until the 21st of September, followed by the parents vs kids match on the 28th.

Golf: Master class for children - Sunday 13 OctoberThe golf section of the SAC (which is established at Villarceaux Golf Club) will be presenting a free introductory golf session for children on the cricket pitch on 13 October 2024 from 2:30 to 4:30 pm. Villarceaux Golf Club and Longchamp Driving Range will be providing clubs and balls for the event. It will be a fun introductory session for children with plenty of opportunities to try the fundamentals of golf for themselves. All levels and ages welcome but please can parents accompany any young children. It will also be a great opportunity for any adult members to discuss the golf section of the SAC. Time to par-tee ..! Please do let us know if you are interested so we can organise the right amount of clubs and balls, please email to register interest and for any questions regarding the golf section. Children at the ClubWe have been very busy over the summer discussing how we can introduce more activities for children of all ages at the club and how we can make sure that parents can have some child-free time at the club during the weekends. The playroom has been restocked with toys and books and given a little makeover! (See photo in the main article) If any parent wants to join the WhatsApp group dedicated to children at the club, wants to discuss anything child-related or has any suggestions, please email .
