Most of the participants will have received the results from the Federation; the SAC Section results are in the main section. There were some tricky hands, and, as usual, if you click on the attachment to the FFB email called "livret", you will see the 4 hands that are commented.
Thank you all for coming and making up 9 tables! Thank you, Joan, Maureen, Anne, and everyone else who helped with preparations and clearing away; and thanks also to Christine, Carole and the young man behind the bar for their help with the cocktail.
The next (and last) tournament of the season will be an INDIVIDUAL on Tuesday, 16 June. We will go through a little quiz at 2 pm, and play will begin at 2.30. As you know, you will not need a partner, but the number of participants must be a multiple of 4, so some forward planning is required! Raymond Natanson will preside over the little prize-giving ceremony, which will be followed by a cocktail offered by the Bridge Section.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
The last tournament of the bridge season is an Individual on Tuesday 16 June at 2.30 pm. We would start off with a quiz at 2pm "The strong 2-suiter bid & the 2NT moderator" ("Le bicolore cher et le 2SA modérateur") - click here to see it or go to the main article.
As you all know, you do not need a partner and we shall be using a very simple bidding system with just the basic bids (no fancy conventions).
As usual, there will be a cocktail after the tournament - this time offered by the Section - and a small prize-giving ceremony presided over by Raymond Natanson.

Guests, Christine and Alain Vignat tied with Anne Raynaud and Jean-Paul Ruzé for 2nd place in NS with 57.74% and 2nd in EW were Jean-Marc Hoffer and Michel Aubert with 58.33% followed by Joan and Ian with 57.44%. Well done to them all!
Warmest congratulations to Ann (Jenkins), the big winner with 60.71% (and 1st in the East line) - she will be receiving the Freddie Chakour Trophy; and 1st in the North line: Anne (Raynaud) with 59.52%, 1st in West: Philippe Garnier with 56.35% and 1st in South: Angela Guillet with 55.56%. There will be a bottle of wine waiting for you when we next meet.
Many thanks to Joan, Maureen, Anne and everyone for taking part in this very special tournament and for your help in preparing and/or clearing away, and for those who signed up at the last minute, thus enabling us to play this "rotating" individual tournament where you all had 21 different partners in 1 afternoon. My thanks also to Carole and the bar staff.
The Henry Natanson Bridge Cup was won by Jane Brooks for her performance over the entire season (the results will be posted in the Bridge Room), and Murielle Jones was awarded the Oliver Langhorne Fair Play Cup for her impeccable attitude at the bridge table.
Please see the main article for more details and the links to the results.
There will now be a break from tournaments until September.
