Coronavirus: COVID-19 latest

While the Clubhouse itself remains closed until further notice, access to the grounds has been eased - but still subject to restrictions: doubles play in tennis is allowed, as are picnics and gatherings of fewer than 10 people (including children)

Football News - Sunday 10th March

Last Sunday the Adult Football team played against the British School and won 3-2 (2 goals by Paul Bowyer and 1 by Ignacio Aguirre). Next Sunday they play Vésinet Sport Club International.

Bridge News - 12th March Tournament results

Warmest congratulations to Mary and Remy, 1st in NS with 60.31% and to Jenny and Joyce, who came 1st in EW with 55.81%. Congratulations also to the close 2nds in NS - Didier and Guy (58.75%) and Nicole and Jean-Paul in EW (55.31%). See the main article for full results. 

Bridge News - 22nd March

Last night we held the first of the Bridge for Beginners series of lessons (the next one is exceptionally on Tuesday 26th). Note the Workshop on Friday 29th March with the subject of Forcing 3rd suit (3me couleur forcing). Please sign up with Claude Jacques if you haven't already done so.

Brian Alton R.I.P.

It is with great regret that we announce that Brian Alton, 85 (31/12/1934-31/3/2020), a long-serving member of the club,  passed away suddenly in hospital on the afternoon of Tuesday 31 March 2020 having succumbed to the COVID-19 virus. He joins his beloved wife, Karin, who passed away just over a year ago. He is survived by his children, Katia and Dominic, and their families, to who we express our deepest sympathy.

 

Golf News - Section Competition - 23rd March

Scramble "à la française" results: the team of Sue Hall, Bertrand Delacroix and Claude Jacques came out ahead in a very close contest, the first 3 teams within one point of each other.

Snooker Tournament News - 27th February 2019

In the Open Singles, Thomas Lavigne beat Lucien Jourdan in a three frame battle, he will meet Anthony Parker in the next round. In the Open DoublesThomas and Simon Lavigne won against Lucien Jourdan and Jean-Paul Ruzé in two straight frames, they are set to play Andrew Taylor and Roland Tchertoff in the next round.

Snooker Tournament News - 14th March

In the Open Singles, Hugo Marrison won his match against David Colson in a three frame battle and qualified for the semis, while James Webb and Emmanuel Bertrand and Antony Parker are set to play their matches soon. In the Open Doubles, Thomas and Simon Lavigne are due to play Andrew Taylor and Roland Tchertoff this Sunday.

Snooker Tournament News 13th February, 2019

In the Open Singles, Paul Willey beat son Joris to move into the semis, where he will meet the winner of David Colson and Hugo Marrison's quarter-final. The Willeys were also busy in the Doubles, beating Simon and Hugo Marrison and will meet Dougie Anderson and Emmanuel Bertrand in the semis. 

Football News - Sunday 17th February

Last Sunday the Adult Football team lost 3-6 playing against Ludovic Cohen's team. SAC goal scorers were Paul Bowyer, Declan Thiriet and Vassili de Rosen. We next play the British School on the 10th of March.
