The umpires have ruled that Friday evening Social Tennis must temporarily stop owing to lack of lack of light and heat over the coming months. Thanks to all who've turned up and made Friday evenings such fun. Social Tennis will resume at the beginning of summer.
This year, the winner of the Toby Cox Memorial Cup is Alec Maurey, who beat defending champion Lee Beaves 3-2 reversing the result of last year's final!

Junior cricket continues this Saturday. U11s will play from 10-11 and the lads will play a friendly match against the LFP Morangis juniors from 11 on. This is their local derby, so please come along and support them - if you're lucky you might get a cup of tea into the bargain...
The LFP Morangis senior team then takes on the adults in the afternoon.
At last, a Croquet Section has been launched. Training and matches will take place on Sunday afternoons for all ages. The first training session will open this Sunday 22nd at 2 pm. Meet us out on the cricket pitch. Beginners are welcome!
The 2019 Autumn Vase was played in beautiful weather, with the unfortunate side effect of leaving the course very dry and quite difficult to play in places. Overall Winner (Best Stableford score) was Jérome Chaplin, 42 points (from Men's 2nd Series). Best SAC scorer was John MacCallum, 38 points, 3rd in Men's 2nd Series, followed closely by Jenny Pratt, 1st in Ladies' 2nd series with 36 points.. See the FFG Results page
We are organising our first squash open tournament of the season, The Toby Cox Cup, on Saturday 21st September. Team matches start on the 3rd October and Junior coaching starts on the 14th October.
Team matches start on the 3rd October and Junior coaching starts on the 14th October. A WhatsApp group has been created for section members and squash ladder has been set up to encourage more playing and to help new members meet other squash players.
The first Squash team matches took place last evening, Thursday 3rd October, with SAC Team 1 traveling to charming "bourgade" Saint-Ouen l'Aumône to play Squash 95 team 4. With only 4 players, they won 3:2 with victories from Aurélien at number 2 (3:0), David at 3 (3:2), Greg at 4 (3:1). Jean-Guillaume at number 1 had a good fight against a very young, very fit and basically very good player but lost 0:3. Meanwhile SAC team 2 played Squash 95 team 6 at home, but lost 2:3, though Hugo Marrison had a good win against a very good player.
Squash league news, 10th October evening matches: Team 1 won their second match of the season beating Stade Français 4 5-0, with Alec, Nicolas, Aurélien, David and Jacques-Philippe all winning their matches. Team 2 lost 2-3 against Total, with good wins by Hugo, again, and Arnaud. The Squash Ladder has been set up.
Junior cricket this weekend: U11s 10-11 am and U16s 11 am-1 pm. The lads will be gearing up to take on the mighty LFP Morangis on 21st September. Their U15 team are now through to the French championship semi-finals and so will be a real handful for our youngsters. The LFP Morangis senior team then takes on the adults in the afternoon.
SAC had two excellent wins last weekend, playing St Brice in a thrilling 35-over match on Saturday and then on Sunday SAC once again welcomed Le Croc Sportif from the UK.
SAC play the last two games of the season are this weekend: an away game against Chantilly on Saturday and then the British Embassy at home on Sunday.

We are pleased to announce that from the 21st of September, we will be organising Touch Rugby sessions at SAC, open to all members, young and old, male and female, thanks to the initiative of Romain Boudot.
More details will follow but please put down 11 o'clock on Saturday the 21st in your diaries as an exciting sporting date - and one which just happens to coincide with the start of 2019 World Cup Rugby tournament in Japan.

Junior cricket training continues this Saturday 7th, with U11s at 10h and U16s at 11h. Training will be very intense this week with the French U15 semifinalists LFP Morangis coming in two weeks for a friendly match - the curtain raiser before their senior team plays the SAC in the afternoon.
