SACC  welcomed Kensington CC from London, the first tourist of the 2023 season, for back-to-back games over the weekend of Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th May.
On Saturday 13 May we played a 40-over game and SAC won by 24 runs. On Sunday we played a 30-over game that resulted in a 13-run victory for Standard Athletic CC

A short history of the SAC Pavilion

The original clubhouse at Meudon, the Tomalin Pavilion, was destroyed in 1944 during the war and replaced by a temporary wooden structure until a new clubhouse was built and opened by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1957. The old wooden structure was moved to the other side of the Club and has since served as storage for ground-care equipment and as our Cricket Pavilion. By 2018 this was in a poor and potentially terminal condition. The building has been entirely renovated and is now ready to face the next 80 years. Thanks to all those who have volunteered their time and energy to save this part of SAC history, with particular thanks to Andrew Jackson.

Introducing FFT Ten'UP - replacing ADSL for court reservations

We are pleased to announce that the Club is switching over to the new FFT Ten'Up tennis court reservation system, provided by the FFT, and discontinuing the legacy ADSL system.
Ten'Up is a free service for us, thanks to our FFT affiliation.
For tennis licence holders, the system will be operational very soon. For those who do not hold an FFT licence via the SAC, we are taking the necessary actions.
So what do you need to do? We are in the final stages of configuring Ten'Up and when completed, you will simply need to download the Ten'Up application.
You will discover that everything is clear and perfectly tailor-made to your needs.
More information including tutorials in PDF and FAQs to follow...

The FFT's Ten'Up application is now operational

You will have seen that the Club is switching over to the new FFT Ten'Up tennis court reservation system and discontinuing the ADSL system.
The Ten'Up service is now up and running for ALL full memberswith or without a licence, and you can now download it to your smartphone from the app store (Apple or Android). You can also go on to the Ten’Up website (https://tenup.fft.fr/) and create your account.
(In the coming days the licence holders should also get their missing licences sent over by mail.)
If you put in your SAC email connection and answer your profile questions, and make your profile accessible to other members, Ten’Up will link you up as a SAC member and you will be able to access the SAC Tennis courts to reserve a session.

MacEvoy Medal Update. "Bring SAC's Olympic ´Silver Medal Home"

Many of you will have seen this week's Flash on the opportunity for us to bid on the 1900 Paris Olympic Silver Cricket Medal, engraved with the name of our Member, Arthur MacEvoy, also a France Champion footballer with SAC's illustrious late 1890s team.

The reserve price is 3500€, so with auction fees, we believe it can be acquired for between 4300 and 5500€.

The response to the crowdfunding effort has been amazing -- over 35 individuals and the Cricket Section have contributed anything from 2€ to 500€ each. We had a particularly generous donation from a former cricketer who remembers the Club fondly from 20 years ago! Our total now stands at 3550€, so we are at 64-82% of the estimated price.

The auction is next Tuesday.

Thanks to everyone for your messages and responses. If you would still like to contribute even 2€ to get us over the line, please drop a note to Rich Parkin at .

Tennis News - Licences

The Tennis Committee would like to thank deeply our Vice President Gaëtan together with Georgina Marrison and Roland Tchertoff from the Management Committee to have been able to renew all the club members’ tennis licenses with the French Tennis Federation  (more than 300 licenses) thus allowing everyone to get Roland Garros tickets on time and to participate to the various tennis competitions in “Ile de France”.
That has been an enormous amount of work done in emergency and within less than a week's time…
