An ultimately disappointing 6-7 defeat to the British School of Paris yesterday, but a testament to our ability to fight back after being 4-1 down. Despite the rugby scoreline, it was a hard and well-fought game of football that SAC were unlucky to lose. Every goal-mouth scramble at our end seemed to result in a BSP goal, whilst at the other end we hit the post three times and had at least one decent penalty shout turned down by the referee. Contributions are being taken for his white stick fund. Pascal Gastebois scored four of our goals (for one of which I'm claiming an assist) and Jon Riches a couple. Well done lads.
It was also refreshing to see all the youngsters (hopefully tomorrow's adult team) playing on the junior pitches alongside. And disappointing that we couldn't snatch victory (or at least a draw) for them when they came to support us after their games
