Bridge News - AGM & Tournament 20 January

The next tournament is planned for Tuesday, 20 January at 2:30 pm; this time it will be preceded by the Bridge Section's Annual General Meeting at 2:00 pm.  Click here to see the Provisional Agenda (a 'doc' file). Jenny will send out a quiz in due course and will review the answers before play starts.


Burns Night Dinner - Saturday 24 January 2026

The SAC's Burns Night 2026 celebration is at 8 pm on Saturday, 24 January. Open to members and non-members.

Pilates and Step & Sculpt News

Taekwondo News

Taekwondo classes are almost full, but there are still a few spots left for children, so, if you’re interested, feel free to send a message to .
Hadad, the Taekwondo instructor, would like to offer a self-defence class for teens and adults at the club on Fridays from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Yoga Classes

Monica communicates with regular users via a WhatsApp group, so ask her to add you if you're interested.
However, many classes are via Zoom at present so do keep in touch with Monica first.
Thursday mornings, 9:30-10:45 am Vinyasa followed by Gentle yoga 11-midday. Saturdays from 3-4:15 pm.

Help Wanted for the Front Desk at Weekends

We need help to welcome our members and their guests on Saturdays and Sundays for one or two hours from 9 am to 5 pm.

ONF warn of high wind and tree damage warning in place from 6 PM on Thursday 8 Jan until Monday

The ONF (Office national des forêts) has contacted the Club with a warning related to Storm Goretti.  The ONF asks people to refrain from walking in the forest from 6 pm on Thursday, 8 January, with high winds expected to persist throughout Friday.  There is a risk of falling trees and branches. The risk of falling tree branches reaching the ground persists long after the storm, including this weekend.  Please, therefore, refrain from walking in the forest.
The Club also warns you of the risk from falling trees when parking your cars at the Club during this period. Gusts are forecast up to 90 kph, peaking overnight on Thursday/Friday.
