Shaun Murphy Snooker Exhibition 29 May 2026 - PhotosThe Shaun Murphy Snooker Exhibition was an outstanding success. Nearly 80 guests, impeccably dressed in black tie, attended this exceptional occasion. The event was further distinguished by the presence of the French Billiards Federation and the European Billiards & Snooker Federation, both represented by their Presidents, as well as Eurosport. The evening opened with an elegant cocktail reception in the Rose Garden, followed by a seated dinner in the Queen Room and a superb exhibition featuring Shaun Murphy alongside two of France’s leading players and the National Coach of the Under-18 and Under-21 teams. Throughout the evening, Shaun Murphy and his team were remarkably gracious and approachable, generously giving their time to guests, posing for photographs and signing countless autographs. Guests were treated to a truly world-class display of snooker, highlighted by several exceptional breaks, including a magnificent century. Our sincere thanks go to everyone whose dedication and support contributed to the success of this memorable occasion. Spending an evening with the 2026 World Championship runner-up, “The Magician” Shaun Murphy, once again demonstrated why he is regarded as one of the sport’s finest ambassadors.

Little Musicians and Brunch - Sunday 14 June The next Little Musicians/Petits Musiciens session will be on Sunday, 14 June, from 11 am to 12:30 pm, with Brunch from 11 am to 2 pm. Book using this Hello Asso link. Don't forget that if a child is signed up for Breakfast/Brunch together with a parent, they have free access to the 1.5-hour class. If you don’t want to sign up for breakfast/brunch, it is €25 per child for the class. It is easier and cheaper if you reserve your place before Friday evening. Prices are more expensive at the bar on the day, and you risk the class being full. |
Bridge News - Next tournament 16 June The last tournament of the bridge season is an Individual on Tuesday 16 June at 2.30 pm. We would start off with a quiz at 2pm "The strong 2-suiter bid & the 2NT moderator" ("Le bicolore cher et le 2SA modérateur") - click here to see it or go to the main article. As you all know, you do not need a partner and we shall be using a very simple bidding system with just the basic bids (no fancy conventions). As usual, there will be a cocktail after the tournament - this time offered by the Section - and a small prize-giving ceremony presided over by Raymond Natanson.
There were several really good scores last month. Congratulations to the winners: Ghislaine and Raphael in NS with 61.90% and Christine and Jerome in EW with 60.71%. Guests, Christine and Alain Vignat tied with Anne Raynaud and Jean-Paul Ruzé for 2nd place in NS with 57.74% and 2nd in EW were Jean-Marc Hoffer and Michel Aubert with 58.33% followed by Joan and Ian with 57.44%.
