Work on the clay courts is expected to start on April 15th and end on April 20th, so weather permitting, play on clay courts should be able to resume on Wednesday 21 April. Renovation work on court 3 should begin in late May. So a brand-new court - with a new all-weather surface - should be open to players by end of June and will be a welcome relief to court booking during the winter.

We are also planning to update our reservation system to increase capacity, restore the privilege of doubles over singles; when courts are busy, singles players should invite, or allow, two others to join them.

Last but not least, we take this opportunity to remind you of the 3 pillars of booking etiquette to ensure that playing time is shared fairly across Members.

  1. Members should only book a court under their own name.
  2. All tennis players (including visitors) should have a booking for the time they are playing.
  3. While playing, players may not book a subsequent period under another member’s name.
