Squash Team 2 Launch

Simon Marrison and Jean Meillassoux are relaunching Team 2 Squash.

The relaunch of Team 2 Squash was on Saturday 9 September at the squash courts at 4 pm.

If you are interested but were not available on Saturday then send Simon a message on .

Traditionally, there are two squash teams at the club, registered in the Criterium Ile de France, with matches on Thursday evenings.

Training takes place on Monday evenings (from 7.30 pm to 9 pm) and Saturday afternoons from 3 pm to 6 pm.

If you do want to play, Saturday afternoon is a good time to find a partner to give you a game, or there will be a squash player around who will find you a partner to match your level. Just make sure you have shoes with the correct soles for playing on the courts.

The Club holds two Open Tournaments a year. The Toby Cox Memorial Trophy in the Autumn (this year on the 23rd/24th September 2017) and the Queens Cup, which will next be played on 2nd and 3rd of June, 2018.

Common ground rules

The courts are going to be closed from now on and the keys available at the bar

Children are more than welcome to use the courts to play squash with the appropriate shoes.

Any other activities are forbidden on the squash courts exceptions being Junior Cricket, if raining, want to practice using softball, bare feet.

Children may use the squash courts to play squash on Wednesday afternoon in case of bad weather.

Call for rackets : we would like to promote squash by allowing children to play so we need to build a stock of racquets for their use when at the club.  If you feel like you have old racquets you no longer use, please feel free to donate it to the section. You can leave them in the office or with a member of staff.

Squash Coaching

We are happy to have Roland Bassibey as coach; he is widely experienced (he already teaches in different clubs ) and he speaks very good English.

Roland also manages the Junior Squash School which is now up and running with 2 x 1-hour sessions on Saturday afternoons. (see Junior Squash

Squash News - 2024/5 summary

What a great year 2024 has been for the Squash Section.
We have been very happy to compete in Division 2 Ile-de-France and have done quite well so far. We also have had the chance to recruit new players and are actively scouting for more players to join our roster and the overall SAC environment. We also have organised a Christmas Internal tournament. Played in a round-robin format it gave a chance for those who participated to get a taste for competitive matches. We aim to produce at least 2 internal tournaments a year (winter & summer) along with the return of the Queen's Cup in 2024 which shall now be the King's Cup from 2025 onwards. It is a possibility that in 2025 we might see a return of a squash team 2, which would bring even more games played at the SAC. There are some ongoing discussions about the squash courts and their maintenance. Finally, the Squash Section has discussed taking some space in the silverware cabinet by the snooker table to exhibit the accomplishments and trophies of the Section through the years. We wish all the members a Merry Christmas and a great 2025 year at the SAC. Cheers!
