4 facts about the Squash Section to shine in society (and at the bar).
1. An epic end to the season. The SAC was ranked 7th out of 8th before the Christmas break, leaving us with the possibility of relegation to Division 3 looming. Survivor’s mentality and “esprit de corps” were summoned. A gasp of hope was provided when Hugo Marrison, returning from his UK university, joined the team in a cut-throat match at the end of December. Having belted this win, the SAC went on a winning streak, closing the season with 4 wins in 6 matches. The last game of the season saw the SAC win in great fashion at home, to finish the 2024-2025 season in 4th place. Tremendous team effort!

2. “The opera ain't over till the [...] lady sings” Whilst it may be the end of the season, the SAC will still have some friendly matches to play on Tuesdays, to keep our legs warm until the return of the internal Easter Squash cup and the King’s Cup 2025. The internal squash tournament will be open to all SAC members (date TBC). The King’s Cup 2025 shall be held as usual in June and will be open to all squash members with a French Federation squash license.

3. “We need you for the SAC squash Army!” The section is looking for a professional (or amateur) paparazzi to take a team picture to be framed and placed in the Squash team trophy cabinet by the Snooker table. Discussions are open internally for sports blazers to be ordered. SAC members fashionistas and fashions gurus: your help is needed.

4. “A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse*” The SAC section will continue the conversations on the states of the squash courts with the MC. Freezing cold in the winter, combat sports dojo on the weekends and even tennis courts on rainy days, the squash courts are being extensively used and are starting to suffer without proper care. The entire squash section and its joyful followers are hoping that the road to gold (Squash will be Olympic in 2028) can start on our squash courts !
