SAC pulled off a second successive victory last Sunday 26/11 in a typically physical encounter with the Kerala Tuskers, edging the visitors out 3-2.

Fielding a strong team, SAC dominated large periods of play and might have put more goals into the net with more accurate finishing. Still, Arnaud Páquier provided some extra punch up front, with one goal to his credit, with strong performances from Fred Appert, Jordan, Henry Cockburn, Alexandre Marois, and Madiouma. That all helped ensure the home side were leading 3-1 until the final minute, while Luc Wisman had a goal disallowed for offside.

Sunday’s win followed a more emphatic 6-3 victory against the Pascal Gastebois XI on Sunday 19/11. The two sides were evenly matched until early in the second half before SAC ran away with the game. Jack Klein led the goal scoring, with SAC’s defence getting into the action at the end, including a long-range goal from Paul “Bend it like Beckham” de Rosen and a breakaway score by Alexander Curtin as the visitors threw everything into attack before the final whistle.

SAC take on La Salernitana this Sunday, kick-off at 10:30.
