The 40th Autumn Vase planned for Saturday 12 September has been cancelled

The first Autumn Vase was played on the 21st of November 1981 and was won by David Boothman.

Incidentally, 1981 also saw the start of the Matchplay Competition, which in those days was played over the winter months. The first was won by Alan Kerr (from New Zealand, the first player to go round Villarceaux in par!) who defeated John Willatts in April 1982!
