Squash is Back! Welcome to the New Season
The squash season has officially returned! We recently kicked off the year with our start-of-season meeting, and there is a lot of exciting momentum building.
Read on to the full squash section update to get all the details on teams, the link to book courts, tournaments and how to get involved!

Welcome back to the courts! Our start-of-season meeting set the stage for an active and social year. Here is everything you need to know to get playing:

Courts & Booking
New Booking System Trial: We are currently testing a new court booking website at https://squash-booking.vercel.app. Please note that certain time slots will be automatically blocked off for team matches, training sessions, club nights, and other official activities.

Court Refurbishments: We know the courts need some TLC. Active conversations are underway regarding the refurbishment of the floors and walls. Several members are currently in contact with specialist workers, and we hope to share along with the Management Committee a concrete timeline of the necessary works soon.

Competitive Teams & Social Play
Team 1: Matches will take place on Tuesday nights, with dedicated practice sessions held TBD
Team 2 Call-Out: We are exploring the return of Team 2 to play in the Île-de-France competitions on Thursday nights! Because a match requires 4 players per team, we need a reliable roster of at least 7 to 8 players. If you are interested, please contact the squash head ASAP so we can secure our registration.

Thursday "Club Nights": If we do not have the numbers to run Team 2 this year, we will repurpose the Thursday evening slot for Squash Club Nights. These 2 to 3-hour sessions will feature quick, fun formats adapted to all skill levels. It will be the perfect opportunity to play regularly, mix in with different partners, and enjoy social squash.

Training & Tournaments
Coaching: We are currently reaching out to previously licensed squash coaches to determine their availability and pricing. The goal is to offer coaching lessons in small, level-based groups.

External Tournaments: Official Ligue tournaments are on hold until the court repairs can take place. However, the beloved Toby Cox and King's Cup events shall return in the future

Internal Tournaments: Mark your calendars for some friendly club competition. We are planning two internal tournaments this year: a Christmas tournament and an Easter tournament. More details will be shared closer to the dates.
