We propose starting the new season with an INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT on Tuesday 19 September, beginning at 2.30 pm.

This will be followed by a little cocktail (champagne or rosé wine with some delicious "canapés", €5 per person) and our Cup-awarding ceremony - the Henri Natanson Cup for the best performance over our last season, the Oliver Langhorne Fair Play Cup, and the André Chakour Cup for the winner of this tournament.

The tournament itself will be a "rotatif" - meaning that you change partners after every hand. You should all use the KISS system (Keep It Simple, Stupid) which is the very simple version of the 5-card Major. And of course, you do not need to find a partner in order to enrol. It's just a "fun" tournament and the more the merrier! If you are interested, we could use another "BCSH Ecole de Bridge Simultané" - on the theme of the Re-opening bid (le Reveil).

In future, Jenny will try to communicate the dates of the tournaments well ahead of time, once it is clear which day of the week suits the majority of players.

The Hurepoix Committee is already asking us to renew our licences - the price has been increased this season and we will have to charge €62. The breakdown is as follows: the licence itself: FFB + Committee: €22.50 + €10.50 and another €27 subscription to the Committee). The club will keep a symbolic €2.
