We are sad to have to inform long-standing SAC members of the death of Ronald Caseley on 25 April, at his nursing home in London. Ron had been a member of the SAC since the 1960s, together with his wife Anke and their daughters Caroline and Annette.
He was an active member of the Club, playing football, tennis, squash, golf at Villarceaux, and bridge and snooker too- always enthusiastically. He also served on the Management Committee for several years, often proferring cogent and sometimes pungent advice. Following the death of Anke, Ron moved back to their London home but was soon obliged to go into a nursing home, where he died two years later.
Some of us managed to keep in contact with Ron and to see him and Annette when in London, and it is reassuring to know that he kept his sense of humour until the end.
We should like to convey our condolences to Caroline and Annette, their husbands and Ron’s grandchildren.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, 29 May at 2 pm at Islington crematorium ( 278 High Road, East Finchley, LONDON N2 9AG).
