As you know, we are rebuilding the swimming pool and want to organise a special event to celebrate the arrival of the spring season and to recruit new members.

Our chosen date is SATURDAY 17 MAY

Rasmus Michau, a member with years of professional experience organizing events, including summer parties (Institut Bonheur at Bagatelle back in the days), has volunteered to take the lead on this.

We will have a large barbecue on the lawn, fun & games, bands, and a DJ. And we are hoping for up to 1,000 people, half of whom would be potential new members.

Rasmus is setting up a committee and is looking for volunteers to each take on one of the following responsibilities:

1. Financial & administrative management of the event (authorisations, insurance,...)
2. Event design & decoration (bar & stage designs, signposts, lighting,...)
3. Organisation of sports tournaments
   1. Croquet
   2. Tennis 
   3. Football 
4. Organisation of auction & silent auction (gather prizes, find an auctioneer, etc)
5. Catering and bars (brand sponsorships?)
6. Kids’ club activities and catering
7. Graphic design/Website/PR
8. Technical execution (equipment rental & setup, electricity, etc.)
