2025-26 SAC Membership Status and Category Changes

The sending out and processing of annual subscriptions put a heavy burden on the Club’s limited (and mainly volunteer) administrative resources. Changes in Membership status or categories, when they occur after the initial fee request has been sent out, lead to “double work”. This happened last year for almost 40% of our fee requests.

To help us improve efficiency, we would like to change the process this year and capture as many changes as possible ahead of issuing fee requests.  Please let us know by June 30th of any changes in membership category that you wish to make for you or any member of your family; e.g., changes between Social and Full.  Please email your changes to .

Please note that category changes that are simply due to age are handled directly by the system and no request needs to be made in this case.

Many thanks in advance for your help with this.

The Management Committee

Pénélope SALLERON, RIP (04.08. 2003 - 27.03.2025)

We regret to announce that Pénélope SALLERON died at the age of 21 on 27 March due to a very rare form of meningitis.
She loved swimming in the club’s pool, just like her grandfather Donald SOUALLE. Our deepest sympathy goes to her mother Titiane and her brother Alfred.

Ian Cully (11/08/1944 - 25/01/2025) RIP

Ian CULLY, who died on 25 January, was a longstanding and valued member of the SAC - together of course with his wife Pat who was very active on the membership front. Ian was a keen member of the cricket team, causing bewilderment amongst opposing batsmen with his Burmese brand of spin bowling. Still under the sports heading, he was once a cunning squash player and became a keen golfer when Villarceaux became the main venue for new and existing SAC golfers. More importantly no doubt, Ian was a major figure on the SAC Management team, serving for many years as Club Treasurer at a time when the Club was fortunate enough to have many more members than at present. See the main article for details about the funeral arrangements (12 February).

Ron Caseley RIP (11.11.1935 - 25.04.2025)

We regret to announce that Ron Caseley died peacefully on 25 April in a care home in London.
Our deepest sympathy goes to his daughters, Caroline and Annette, their husbands and Ron’s grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Thursday, 29 May at 2 pm at Islington crematorium ( 278 High Road, East Finchley, LONDON N2 9AG).
