In Loving Memory of Martin Saulnier-Arrighi, RIP

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Martin on 31 January, aged 41, after an eleven-year battle with a brain tumour. Martin was diagnosed with a glioma in 2014 and faced years of treatment with great courage and resilience
When the tumour returned in 2024, he met it with the same strength and dignity. He passed away surrounded by love.
In keeping with his generous spirit, he chose to donate his brain to science to support research into neurological diseases. There is a fund raiser to support research at La Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital and the Institut du Cerveau, in Martin’s memory. https://don.institutducerveau.org/enmemoiredeMartinSA/~mon-don?utm_source=ig&utm_medium=social&utm_content=link_in_bio
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with his wife Christelle, children (Jeanne, Côme and Arthur) and loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.

Update on Insurance and Investment plans

Dear Members,

First of all, a very Happy (belated) New Year to you all from the Management team.
It seems such a long time since the AGM, with so many "moving parts", given the major storm in July.  We therefore thought it timely to update you on where we stand on the continued investments in the Club.
Bottom line: we expect that we will be able to invest a further €200K in the Club this year, repairing storm damage and opening up a cost-effective option for padel, if (and only if) Members wish to see this new sport at SAC.
The July storm caused well over €150K in damage, which has made the insurance process particularly demanding in terms of documentation requirements, process complexity and length.
Please see the details of our plans in the main article.
